Data are derived from the Annual Population Survey undertaken by the Office for national Statistics.

Qualifications give people more options in employment including, potentially, the opportunity to move into higher paid employment. People of working age with no qualifications have fewer options. So we think it is desirable that there are as few people as possible of working age with no qualifications.
