Domestic energy consumption across Herefordshire (GWh) gigawatt hours
Estimates of energy consumption published by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy based on data for the consumption of Gas, Electricity, Road transport fuels and Residual (non-electricity, non-gas and non-road transport) fuels. Domestic energy consumption is the amount of energy used by households for space heating, water heating, cooking and electricity. It does not include transport use by households. The amount of energy used will depend on the age and condition of building, climate and type of fuel available.
Houses that are in good condition with insulation, double glazing and efficient heating systems are generally considered to be more energy efficient and use less energy.
